We’ve lived here on the east side for two years and have felt pretty safe as all our back gardens have high walls. However, two weeks ago a neighbour in Cambridge Road had a burglary (unfortunately a window was open) from her basement flat, presumably with access given over a neighbour’s garden. So, do pay attention to windows and consider having locks fitted that only allow them to open a few inches. We are considered by the police to be a burglary hot spot.
